have you ever thought of going back to the past
to make that one change that you've always been
wanting to change?
what do you think about knowing too much will
cause you more trouble than you can ever think
of? what about just accepting the fact that
things might happen for the better reason? what
about knowing that there might be even better
things that will become of?
all of these thoughts came to me when i watched
a movie called the butterfly effect revelation
on my flight back to taipei this afternoon.
speaking of which, i nearly missed my flight
again. yes, again. this is the second time and
it's really hitting me hard. i remember the first
time i took it really easy and i even lined up
for it not knowing that the gate is going to close
and for that i had to wait for another few hours
for my flight. this time around, i was too tired.
i didn't sleep well and after work i thought i could
wake up earlier at 7 in the morning and head home
from the hotel. i've had 14 missed calls when i got
up and gosh, i must've been dead asleep. not to mention
how worried sick my parents were. adding a little more
spice to that, it's mother's day. happy mothers day mom
took a real quick shower and rushed to the airport
from the hotel and asked mom to pack my luggage and
wait for me at the airport. took me forty minutes to
reach the airport and i hope i don't get speeding
tickets. dangerous, but i couldn't afford to miss
another flight. everything went okay after that and
here i am writing thisto post on my blog when i get
internet connections afterwards.
it's funny how things in life work, especially when you
least expected things to happen. i bumped into nicholas
teo at the airport today. i ordered a nasi lemak for a
quick lunch because i thought i haven't had it for the
longest time and so i should before i have to wait for
the next trip home. me and nicholas had a nice chat and
seriously, it kinda felt good to talk to a long-time-no-
see-friend. we took the same flight back to taipei and
i'm pretty sure he's writing stuffs on his laptop from
where he's sitting at now.
oh yes, the movie i was talking about what if you can
go back in time to change somethings that might or
might not make things better, or otherwise. it made me
realized that sometimes, things happens for a reason.
we often think that if only i could turn back time and
correct my mistakes, thing would've been better. but
if you think about it, things happen for a reason and
i'm pretty sure it'd be better to just leave it as it is.
this is because once you try to alter things that has
happened for a reason it might become worse.
so maybe that's why until today time machine is still
yet to be developed. the irony of life.
kudos.
